The Oakley M Frame Hybrid 2.0 Ballistic SI Glasses are just like the Oakley M Frame Strike 2.0 Ballistic SI Glasses with just one modification: the curvature of the lenses. The bottom edge of the lenses are arched higher than the Strike model. With this adjustment, the Hybrid lenses offer a more secure fit for those with high cheekbones. It also brings a stylistic touch to the design.
The Oakley M Frame 2.0 Hybrid Glasses are compatible with any lens for any other M Frame 2.0 glasses, including both Hybrid and Strike lens design. They're even compatible with Oakley M Frame 3.0 Glasses! However, they are NOT COMPATIBLE with regular M Frame lenses, since these lenses do not have a hole to accomodate the nose clip in the 2.0 frame design. We offer M Frame 2.0 Hybrid lenses in VR28 (bronze), clear, and grey.
We also offer M Frame 2.0 Strike lenses in VR28 (bronze), clear, and grey.
With the 2.0 upgrade from the regular Oakley M Frame Hybrid model, you have a third point of contact above the nose piece, fulfilling a military requirement for eye protection (MIL-PRF-31013). A clip has been added to hold together the lens and frame, increasing durability upon impact. Plus, the style is also more subdued with a matte finish and a black Oakley logo. Both models have frames with hydrophilic unobtanium at all contact points to keep them secure even under wet conditions.

I bought a pair of these along with a clear lens kit so I could use these for both indoor and outdoor shooting ranges. These are really awesome and the only reason why I'm not giving it 4 stars is because removing the lens the very first time was more painful than I think it should be. It loosens up after the first time, but still there should be a better way to engineer the lens swap feature. I hope future versions of these Oakley ballistic glasses have improved swapping.

Oakley is always the best for clarity, and quality. The Hybrid lens is slightly smaller than the Strike, so may not be approved for use in some commands.

It is possible to use any Oakley M frame lens in the new Ballistic M Frame 2.0. First after removing the lens slide the middle piece a bit to loosen it up, if you have nimble fingers and patience you can even remove the little center piece. I have used all my M Frame lenses in these new and better designed frames. Even the polarized lenses fit. Best of all the service from Patriot Outfitters is as good as the Oakley???s!

I've been using Oakley products for approximately 12 years and out of all my purchases, this is the best by far. These are my primary sunglasses and use them everyday. Whether its work or play these glasses suit me well.
PROS: Lightweight. Snug yet comfortable glasses that NEVER slip of my face. I run around a lot and they always stay put. Interchangeable lenses. Exclusive and not sold at local sunglass shops. Great for shooting. I have a few scratches on m lenses from the brass that ejected from my AR15 during training. Better scratched lenses then scratched corneas. EXCELLENT UV protection. EXCELLENT protection against object blown by the wind (Sand/Dust etc.) Cleaning kit works REALLY well. MADE IN U.S.A.!!!!!
CONS: Because of the 2.0 Frame, my lenses from my standard M frames are not compatible. Not easy to disassemble, there's a small learning curve, but once figured out it's a snap. The repair kit screwdriver does not work on the hinges as there are no screws.
If you decide to purchase these, it's good to spend a little more money on the complete kits as buying everything separately can add up. Overall great purchase and the customer service at Patriot Outfitters WELL exceeded my expectations. I called prior to ordering and the young lady that assisted me answered all my questions to my satisfaction.
