Lightweight and athletically inspired, it offers the comfort of prime urethane shock absorption and the climate control of a moisture wicking liner. The vulcanized rubber sole includes directional lug geometry and provides wet/dry traction on both smooth and rough terrain.

4.0 very cool when you wear on in temperate weather
I have a part-time job as delivering newspaper. I wear them walking about 2.5hrs everydays, and the total range is more than 10km. I just wore out 5.11 ATAC-STORM for a year due to the leather crack. Now I always check if the boots are stitched down to maintain boots' lifespan. I have a pair of Danner Fort Lewis too. Comparing to the Danner, the better improvement is the strong ankle support design and the heel's leather lining lowering the wearing out chance. The sole performs no problem except the iced-road, because the ice just melted a couple of weeks ago before I bought the boots ,so I lost chance to test the boots. I guess it might be some problem on the the ice according to the experience about ice or snow once freezing in the striated sole and make the sole flat like a glass but if the sole is still soft in -30 celsius degree the ice can be squeezed out and auto-fix the traction problem when you are moving.

This Boot has been great so far! My feet a ever ache and they are very comfortable! One downfall is that they get a little dirty easy. I use these boots everyday before and after work at the auto shop and use them for shooting.

I use these boots on dismounted patrols up and down the hills of Afghanistan. They are good enough to get the job done but are not near as nice and much harder to break in compared to the Oakley Boots made in the U.S.

Great boots. Took awhile to break them in but not like issue boots to break in. They are so well made i couldnt bend my ankle when i first got them. Were a nice replacement boots for my Danners.

I'm a contractor in Afghanistan and have put more than a few miles on these boots. This is my second pair and they feel more like tennis shoes than boots! After the initial break-in expect them to fit like a glove and never rub blisters on your feet no matter what socks you wear with them. They breath better than my gym shoes and are incredibly light-weight. No more stinky feet after wearing these as compared to the old leather ones I was wearing before. My feet stay cooler, drier, and are far more comfortable than other boots that I've worn. Highly recommend these to anyone needing a boot to travel in.

The sole is very durable and the whole boot is high-quality. They breath very well and the fitment is perfect. They hug your feet. They do take a little bit to break in but that's the norm with every good boot. Once you break them in they feel like tennis shoes. I love how light-weight they are.....not at all like regular combat boots.

About Me Active Military 4.0 Gets the job done
I'm in ROTC in Colorado and I wear my boots with my uniform every Thursday and for labs, and they are amazing. My issued boots were uncomfortable and gave me gnarly blisters, but the Oakleys are super comfy and haven't even come close to blistering. The only problem for me is that they are a little big, but 6 is the smallest size they make. I usually wear a 7 or 7.5 shoe womens, and the mens six is still a little big. I just have a little extra padding in the toe and thick socks. Otherwise they are amazing!

About Me Active Military 4.0 Nice, but trousers don't stay tucked in
Comfy and supportive enough, but the ABU/ACU/ABS-G trousers won't stay tucked in (they blouse fine, I just prefer tucking). The inside of the boot upper is stiff and tapers slightly outward toward the top, which makes them comfy, but pants untuck as you walk. Petty, I know, but I've got several pairs of tan boots to choose from and I've only worn these a couple times.

This is my 3rd pair of the oakley SI Assault Boot that i have purchased and as always a great purchase!!! The boots are light enough and with a long durability lifespan. My first pair i wore for a year in garrison, the field, and thru a deployment this boot will last!!! Durability and comfort are why i keep purchasing the SI Assaults!!! The only reason i have to buy another pair is after time the sole of the boot will just no longer have the right amount of support for the bottom of my feet. About Me Active Military 4.0 Awesome boots
These are some great boots, I have to hand it to Oakley, they make some great gear. They have a lot of ankle support, which I love. I am in an airborne unit, and this will really come in handy during jumps. I haven't ye gotten a chance to jump with them, my first jump since buying them was cancelled, but I look forward to it. There are a few issues that I don't like though, the break in time is ridiculous! It took me two weeks of wearing these around daily for them to become comfortable and soft. That is way too long for such an expensive boots. I know plenty of other boot manufacturers whose boots are ready for wear straight out of the box. But, that's ok. I still love these boots. Another issue is, while the boots are breaking in, the supports rub against my ankle constantly. Luckily it stopped after I took these hiking in calf deep snow for a few hours. Lastly, and this is my fault. I didn't check the manufacturer of these boots, and they are not made in the USA. I am going to keep these boots as long as I can, and when they are through I am going to pay the extra $70 to get a pair made in the USA. Over all though, great boots. I would definitely recommend these to a friend.

This was my first pair of Oakley boots and I haven't been dissapointeed. I have served in the military and in Law Enforcement and out of all the boots I have worn these are the best I have worked in. I will recommend these to anyone that asks about them and my next pair will also be Oakley if these ever wear out. I currently work as a civilian security contractor in Iraq and these have really filled my need in this area. The comfort and durability has exceeded my wishes.
